How are the 2Power modules installed?

2Power modules are not installed any differently than classic photovoltaic systems. The modules are mounted to the familiar track systems or brackets.

How are the 2Power modules connected?

The hydraulic connection is done with hoses which are inserted into the connection nozzles on the modules. The hoses are flexible, weather-resistant and protected by a metal mesh.

What feed line system is needed for installation?

The feed line system must withstand temperatures up to 60°C and be insulated against condensation. PN10 pressure level is sufficient (no high temperature installation is needed).

How are the feed lines laid?

They can be fed along the house facade as well through the roof truss into the heating room. To bring the feed lines into the attic, they are pushed through a conventional solar tile to the inside. From here, the lines can be run down installation shafts (such as a free chimney or air shaft).

How does the hydraulic balancing take place?

Each individual module array is set up with balancing valves in such a way that they are hydraulically equalized. The system can also be built using the Tichelmann system.

How is the 2Power system controlled?

Control is done by the solar regulator. Two temperature sensors record the temperature in the module and in the storage.

Which storage type is recommended for heating potable water?

When there is a positive difference, the pump is switched on and the flow is regulated through the rotation speed. For sanitation purposes, we offer a fresh water layered thermal storage for heating potable water.

What is the system filled with?

A special glycol-based water mixture is used as heat transfer medium. The system is thus absolutely freeze-proof.

How much does a module weigh?

24 kg in filled condition, whereby the weight for the glycol filling is only 1 kg of that.

Can it also be installed on on-roof insulation?

Yes. The base plates for the roof hooks are securely screwed to the rafters with long screws that penetrate through the battens and underlayment.

Where are the pre- and return hoses placed?

The supply lines for the 2Power modules are run from the heating room through the supply duct to the roof. The line is then guided between the rafters to connect to the module field. The line is then ultimately guided through a so-called solar tile to end on the roof tiles. Once there, it should be placed behind the module field, which is installed later, so that it's not visible.

What is the minus temperature for the solar fluid?

The ratio of antifreeze in the solar fluid needs to be adjusted according to the location at the time of start up.

Can I use the lines from the old solar thermal system?

Basically that is possible, as long as they provide sufficient flow, can withstand the system pressure of max. 6 bar, and are made of anti-corrosive material.

Can I connect the existing thermal system to it?

This should only be done after careful consultation with the manufacturer.

How much space is needed for the storage and the solar station?

The dimensions of the components are shown in the installation and operating manual.

What is the diameter of the storage?

The dimensions of the components are shown in the installation and operating manual.

Can an existing storage be used for the 2Power system?

Basically this is possible, however, it has to provide sufficient buffer volume and have an anti-corrosive solar exchanger which also has sufficient permeability.

Are all modules in the system with 2Power?

The number of 2Power modules is designed according to the heating requirement and the storage capacity. In other words, the modules will only be all 2Power if the heating requirement or the storage capacity is correspondingly large. Otherwise, 1Power modules can be used for electrical power generation next to the 2Power modules because they look the same.en.

Which inverter (manufacturer) do you use?

We use inverters from the Germany company SMA Solar Technology GmbH.

Do you also prepare the plans and the calculations?

We assist with the plans and can prepare individual calculations at the time an order is made if desired.

Is it possible to receive a KfW incentive?

Yes, the system yield is included in the energy balance for the building.

Do you also offer an in-roof version?

No.

Does such a system save on oil or gas?

If the 2Power modules are combined with an oil or gas heater, 250 L or 250 dm3 up to 500 L 500 or dm3 can be saved for a 5-member family. For an integrated heating remodel that includes installing a heat pump and long-term thermal energy storage, no oil or gas is needed any more.

What is the minimum slope required for a roof for 2Power?

The roof slope must be at least 10°. This is necessary just for cleaning purposes.

I have an air-heating pump, is it worth installing a 2Power system?

Installing a 2Power system is always worthwhile for the environment!

Is it possible to heat a swimming pool with 2Power?

Of course. In fact, that works very well!

Is it possible to improve a geothermal or thermal ice storage system with 2Power?

Yes! This combination of systems, in fact, has a very high yield and the best possibility for savings.

Has the module been tested and approved??

Of course. The module complies with the following standards:
